We opened our fashion collaborative, Me and You, on the 1st June 2011 on a buzzing, arty section of Sir Lowry road. Why here? We’ve got cool graffiti, the hot shot galleries, Michelle Obama’s favourite lunch spot - the Kitchen plus Woodstock Vintage and The Treasury for cool collectables. We’re sandwiched between Cape Town’s fabric warehouses, mannequin makers and cmts. We are where we need to be and where people want to be. We also have a frenetic, happy, eclectic group of designers who have madly different backgrounds, influences and cultures. We invent, cut and tailor upstairs and retail downstairs. We have created a fashion community in the heart of Cape Town’s fashion district. We have created a space for designers to create and manage their brands, their way.
